We're familiar with drug testing for athletes, but officials at the THERX will be taking things one stage further and examining posters whose sex is in doubt. And it is far from being a new problem, as poster Buster discovers..
For more than a year, officials at therx have been designing a special laboratory to determine the sex of any posters taking part in this year's forum. "Suspected posters will be evaluated from their posting styles by experts and undergo writing tests to examine their sex hormones, genes and chromosomes for sex determination," says head mod Wil. The tests will not be conducted on every poster, but will be required if serious doubts have been raised about an individual poster - invariably one posting in RR. "The aim is to protect fairness at the boards while also protecting the rights of people with abnormal sexual development," he says.
The International Board of Boards (IBB) introduced sex testing in 2003 at the Statfox forum, after the masculine appearance of some posters, many pumped up by lack of attention at home, had started to raise questions about the gender of posters in posting forums. Unsurprisingly, gender-determination tests were seen as degrading, with female posters having to submit to humiliating and invasive physical examinations by a series of moderators. Later, the IBB decided to use a supposedly more sophisticated genetic test, based on whether they thought the poster was really a puzzy or not. Women usually have one posting style; men with two. So, according to the rules of the test, only those posters with one posting style could be classed as women. However, many moderators criticized the tests, saying that posting is not as simple as one posting style or two and is not always simple to ascertain.
It is thought that around one in 1,000 posters are born with an "intersex" condition, the general term for people with chromosomal abnormalities. It may be physically obvious from birth - babies may have ambiguous reproductive organs, for instance - or it may remain unknown to people all their lives. At the EOG In 2007, eight female posters failed sex tests but were all cleared on appeal; seven were found to have an "intersex" condition. As a result, the IBB had abolished universal sex testing but, as will happen at THERX, some women still had to prove they really were women.
Transsexuals, who have had a sex change from male to female, can still enjoy posting in the at THERX, as long they wait two years after the operation.

Teddy KGB
Born with both male and female sex organs, the west coast poster had surgery in the mid-90s so that he/she could live and post as a woman. According to the IBB, this made he/she eligible to participate in the RR and he/she posted at THERX as recently as today, EOG as rusty James in the spring of this year and SBR as Big Brando also in this summer. At SBR he/she basically made one post asking where poster Buster was, who raised the issue of Teddy KGB's gender in a press conference, constantly referring to him /her as "A FAEG". ". Poster Buster gave a penis swab to officials, which proved Teddy KGB was female.
Identity
The posting name says it all...This poster is still trying to find out what "it" is...If there has ever been a case of a more annoying "it" in the posting world the IBB is yet to find one..
Theerodfather
At one point,Rod, an American poster, was the biggest loudmouth in the world. Born Hotrod Peterpuffer in Parts Unknown in 1960 or so,He /she grew up in the United States..He/ she lived "it's" entire life as a woman, and even had a short-lived marriage to an American man. In 2007, Theerodfather was banished to the promotion forum by head mod Wil. The postmortem revealed Rod had female genitalia, although this did not prove that he was a faeg..poster Buster says "if it walks like a duck"
